The Bacolod Silay International Airport is the main gateway for local and international flights in the city. It replaced the old Bacolod City Domestic Airport in 2008. Soon, the Bacolod- Negros Economic Highway is set to be inaugurated. Started in 2017, the project is regarded as the biggest single infrastructure ever built in Bacolod. The 21.8-kilometer highway has four lanes, with three bridges and a two-way bike lane.
